Holiday Booking

Filed under: Family — philiphendry @ 10:09 pm

I am seriously excited about our holiday – it’s nothing special, I suppose, but I’m just really excited about the opportunity for a weeks break in Cornwall especially given the location of the apartment. It’s right on the waters edge and just a few minutes walk from the centre of Falmouth. Here’s a close up…

and another further out…

and finally in relation to the country…

Today was Sam’s firs visit to Water Babies – a class for teaching babies to enjoy water and possibly even swim!! At times he even looked like he was enjoying himself!!! I’ve included a few photos of his exploits below but before that you can enjoy the video of him getting  dunked!!!

Our 7th Wedding Anniversary

Filed under: Family — philiphendry @ 4:36 pm

To celebrate our Anniversary, Ali, Sam and I went to Gunwharf in Portsmouth and after a quick walk around the shops, paid a lunch time visit to Loch Fein for a fish dinner.

Well, food was fantastic as ever, but you gotta wonder how anyone can look so longingly into a pan of Mussels…

Sam’s Hand & Foot Printing

Filed under: Family, Sam — philiphendry @ 4:33 pm

It was a hard days work on Thursday having been woken up with a support call at 3am. However, before I was home early in the afternoon for a catch-up on lost sleep, Ali and I took Sam to ‘The Crockery’ to have Sam’s hands and feet immortalised in both clay and paint.

The clay came first and here’s a couple of pictures of Sam seeming to enjoy having his extremities pushed into damp clay…

And after a bit of decorating and writing here’s the final prints made on tiles ready for glazing…

Does my son look frightened?

Filed under: Family — philiphendry @ 10:10 pm

I love this photo… it’s not particularly clear (and I’m a bit of a stickler for sharp photos) but the expression is priceless.
